Jennifer Hudson: Disney Dream’s Godmother

Showing off that bangin’ new figure of hers, Jennifer Hudson was front and center at the christening of the new “Disney Dream” cruise ship at Port Canaveral, FL.

The “Dreamgirls” babe looked absolutely fabulous as she presented the ship with a giant ceremonial bottle of champagne and posed for pictures with Walt Disney Company president and CEO, Robert A. Iger, along with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts chairman, Thomas O. Staggs.

For Hudson, the event was a homecoming of sorts – as she worked on the Disney Wonder as an entertainer in 2003 before her talent was discovered on “American Idol.”

“I began my career as a singer on the Disney Wonder, so you can only imagine how excited I am to be here today,” Hudson, who has also been named the godmother of the new ship, told.

Spending another day hard at work, Jennifer Lopez was spotted on the set of “American Idol” in Pasadena, CA on Thursday morning (December 9).

Looking chic as ever in a fluffy fur coat and oversized hoop earrings, the “Back-Up Plan” beauty chatted it up with fellow judges Randy jackson and Steven Tyler during the brief downtime.

Aside from her “Idol” duties, J. Lo recently scored a killer gig with the L’Oreal cosmetics brand by becoming their global ambassador.

An industry source revealed, Jennifer Lopez has been named the global ambassador of L’Oréal Paris.” She’s also a judge on the new season of “American Idol.”

David Archuleta’s “Live with Regis & Kelly” Visit

Following a Big Apple press stop, David Archuleta gave a warm greeting to his avid fans as he departed ABC studios in New York City on Wednesday (October 6).

The “American Idol” alum signed autographs and took pictures with a gathered crowd after promoting his just-released album titled “The Other Side of Down”.

During the course of the visit, Mr Archuleta took the stage to perform a few songs including “Falling Stars” and “Elevator”.

Also asked his thoughts on the new “American Idol” judges, the 19-year-old replied, “I think it’s kind of exciting. They both are very talented. They both have worked very hard in their lives to get where they are. I love that they’re having a Latina on the judge panel.”

‘Idol’ Judge Accused of Stealing Dance Show

Randy Jackson isn’t used to stealing the show — but according to a new lawsuit, that’s exactly what he did with “America’s Best Dance Crew.”

The Dawg and MTV are being sued by a guy named Dwight McGhee — who claims the two powerhouses ripped off his idea for a reality show about a dance crew … called “International Breakerz League.”

According to the lawsuit, filed last week in L.A. County Superior Court, McGhee claims he pitched his show idea — which he calls “uncannily similar” to ABDC — to MTV back in 2004.

Fast forward four years later — ABDC premiers on MTV … and McGhee is pissed, claiming he and MTV struck an “implied” contract when he pitched his concept.

Now, McGhee wants Randy and MTV to pay more than $2,000,000 for his trouble. Good luck with that.

Victoria Beckham Takes the American Idol Hot Seat?

Yes this is true. I am sure a lot of people are a little shocked that Victoria Beckham will be taking Paula’s seat in American Idol. According to People.Com she will join the American Idol judges’ panel when the show takes the talent search to Boston for its season premiere, airing Tuesday (8 p.m. EST) on FOX. The former Spice Girl will return for the Denver auditions, airing Feb. 2.

People.Com also tells us that for her own judging style, Beckham says, “I believe in constructive criticism and I am a very positive person, so I always tried to find something good and helpful to focus on, be it someone’s singing, their looks or their overall style. Having been a performer, I know how difficult it is to be that person standing there being judged. I didn’t want to trample on people’s dreams.”
