Brooke Mueller Rushed to Intensive Care

People.com tells us that Brooke Mueller was rushed to the intensive care unit of a Los Angeles hospital in the middle of the night Tuesday with a 105-degree fever resulting from her impacted wisdom-tooth surgery and infection earlier in the week.

“Brooke is in the hospital ICU related to the surgery for her impacted wisdom tooth,” her lawyer Yale Galanter tells PEOPLE. “They are trying to get the infection and fever under control. The infection has spread.”

Mueller, 32, and husband Charlie Sheen, 44, are due to attend a hearing in the Aspen court, where she is seeking to modify the protective order put into place after Sheen’s domestic-violence arrest on Christmas day.

Sheen, whose interaction with Mueller is limited by the constraints of the protective order, was nonetheless seen visiting Mueller in the ICU, reports TMZ.com.

“Mueller wants to be able to communicate with her husband and hopes they can go back together as a family with their 9-month-old twins, Bob and Max,” Galanter tells PEOPLE.

The hearing has been postponed several times due to the judge’s schedule and now Mueller’s illness.

Brad Pitt and Jen Aniston Participate in Haiti Telethon

People.Com tells us that the telethon to raise money for earthquake victims in Haiti brought out some of Hollywood’s brightest stars – including Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.

The commercial free Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief, co-hosted by George Clooney and Wyclef Jean, was broadcast on nearly a dozen channels.

“This is a tragedy that reaches across all borders, all boundaries and demands our attention, our help and our compassion as fellow human beings,” Clooney said at the opening of the show. “The Haitian people need our help. They need to know that they’re not alone. They need to know we still care.”

CNN’s Anderson Cooper reported live from Haiti during the telecast in which he was joined by two young survivors, who had been rescued from the rubble. Dr. Sanjay Gupta reported on the medical obstacles that the country still faces.

While stars such as Halle Berry, Julia Roberts, and Justin Timberlake hit the stage and manned the telephone lines in Los Angeles, others did their part with satellite performances from New York and London.

Viewers were urged to call 1-877-99-Haiti to pledge money to the cause. Over 100 A-list celebs, including Mel Gibson and Steven Spielberg and Reese Witherspoon thanked individual callers for their donations.

In London, Bono, Jay-Z and Rihanna collaborated onstage, and Beyoncé sang “Halo” accompanied by Coldplay’s Chris Martin on piano. In New York, the hip-hop group The Roots backed emotional performances from singers Jennifer Hudson, Mary J Blige, and Sting.

Haitian native, Wyclef Jean ended the night saying “Enough with the moping” before singing a song that included the lyrics, “Earthquake we see the earth shake but the soul of the Haitian people it will never break.”

Smiling Britney Spears Attends Court Hearing

People.Com tells us that an upbeat Britney Spears went to court Friday with her father for a hearing in her ongoing conservatorship case.

The judge wanted to see the pop star face-to-face for a progress review since her father took legal control of her affairs following her mental breakdown two years ago.

Lawyers for the singer also sought court permission to auction off her 2008 MTV Video Music Awards dress to raise money for Haiti earthquake relief, as part of “property no longer useful for her estate.”

Spears “is very enthusiastic about the idea for a donation to Haiti,” her court-appointed attorney Samuel Ingham told the judge, adding that the singer “is appreciative of the extra time and effort” showed by the court in her ongoing case. The judge approved the dress donation.

The singer, 28, wore a gray jacket and black skirt with her hair dark brown and long with a few blonde streaks. She entered the courtroom at 1:45 p.m. from the judge’s hallway door following her father, Jamie.

Spears smiled at Ingham as she stood at the attorney table next to him. After Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz took the stand, Spears’s conservator lawyers requested to seal the courtroom because the hearing involved personal medical information.

The judge granted the request and ordered reporters and other audience members to leave for most of the two-hour session.

Experts say it’s normal procedure for the judge to want to check in with her. However, Spears won’t regain control of her own life until she proves to the court – backed by doctors’ opinions – that she’s able to manage her own affairs.

People.Com tells us that Tara Reid and boyfriend Michael Axtmann were having dinner at The Little Door restaurant in Los Angeles on Monday night when Axtmann asked for something not on the menu: Reid’s hand in marriage.

“Michael surprised Tara with a beautiful round brilliant cut ring,” the actress’s rep tells PEOPLE exclusively. “Tara was so happy, and the other patrons clapped and yelled out, ‘Congratulations.’”

Reid, 34, and Axtmann, an Internet entrepreneur, began dating last year. They are planning a small wedding for family and friends by this summer.

Reid, who posed for Playboy‘s January/February issue, recently completed production on the comedy Last Call and the psychological thriller The Fields.

Katie Holmes Calls Suri ‘Magical’

People.Com tells us that even when she leaves Suri home to go out on a date with husband Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes can’t help but rave about her 3-year-old daughter.

“She’s doing really well,” the actress told PEOPLE at The NY Times Style Magazine‘s Golden Globes cocktail party Friday night at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. “She’s growing up really, really fast.”

But the Suri love didn’t stop there. Holmes says her high-heel-wearing little girl talks a blue streak and is “spectacular.”

“She is magical,” Holmes says.

Holmes says she and Cruise have been traveling a lot lately, so it was “great to be out.” They mingled at the party, where fellow revelers included Ben Stiller, Shirley MacLaine, Chace Crawford, Ashley Olsen, Jared Leto, Adam Lambert, Lindsay Lohan and Woody Harrelson.

Sandra Bullock Donates $1 Million to Haiti Relief

People.Com tells us that Golden Globe winner Sandra Bullock has turned anything but a Blind Side to the situation in Haiti – and has donated $1 million in relief aid to the victims of the Jan. 12 earthquake, which is now estimated to have killed 200,000 people and left 1.5 million people homeless.

Bullock’s contribution matches those by George Clooney and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, reports Variety. The trade paper also notes that Gisele Bündchen has pledged $1.5 million to Haiti, while Madonna says she has given $250,000.

The gifts come as the star roster for Friday’s multi-network Hope for Haiti telethon, organized and to be co-hosted by Clooney and Wyclef Jean, continues to expand. Among those set to perform now include Christina Aguilera, Bono, Alicia Keys, Sting and Justin Timberlake. Tom Cruise and Julia Roberts have already been announced as answering the phones during the telethon.

The special will air live from Los Angeles and New York at 8 p.m. ET on MTV, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX, BET, The CW and HBO, among other networks. Donations will benefit Haiti relief efforts by the Red Cross, UNICEF, the Yele Haiti Foundation, Oxfam America and Partners in Health and be divided evenly among the groups.

Panic Over Heidi Montag Topless Photos

TMZ.Com tells us that moments after Heidi Montag‘s newest chesticular operation, her assistant went into full panic mode after a camera containing photos of Heidi’s bare jumblies went missing during an ambulance ride.

It all went down in November as Heidi was being transported from the hospital where she got the implants to a recovery center via a private ambulance company.

After Heidi was dropped off, her assistant realized a camera containing numerous photos — mostly showing a topless Heidi during various stages of her new operation — was M.I.A.

Sources say the assistant called in a red alert to the ambulance minutes after it left the recovery center and ordered the driver to turn around — but she didn’t tell the driver why.

Heidi got her camera back, and one of the photos is featured in this week’s People … we’re guessing for a lot of $$$. It’s just the way Spencer Pratt rolls.
