16 and Pregnant’ Star Whitney Purvis — I’m Not Pregnant … Period

“16 and Pregnant” star Whitney Purvis tells TMZ … she DID swipe a pregnancy test off the shelf at a Walmart this week … but says she’s glad to report she’s NOT with child.

TMZ broke the story … the 20-year-old reality star was arrested in Georgia on Thursday when store security caught her smuggling a First Response preggo test into the women’s restroom.

Purvis admits … she did INTEND to use the test in the restroom … but chickened out at the last minute and threw it away before she could pee on the stick.

Purvis explains, “My boyfriend was with me and he had money – but I didn’t want to freak him out. I was just being stupid with my decisions. I wish I would have handled the situation better.”

The former MTV star was hauled to a nearby jail … and released a short time later.

But before Purvis could go back to the store to legally purchase another test … Mother Nature answered her question with a surprise visit from Aunt Flo.

Whitney’s reaction — “I was excited because I didn’t want another kid – I already have one.”

Purvis says she’s learned her lesson — noting, “I never will go back to jail or steal again in my life.”

Lindsay Lohan at it again, but good!

Lindsay Lohan‘s taking her music career to the next level on SNL tonight — TMZ has learned, the actress plans to SING the majority of her opening monologue on the sketch show.

Sources tell TMZ, nothing’s off the table either — Lindsay will poke fun at all the recent mishaps in her life … arrests, endless court dates, necklace-stealing sagas, jail, morgue duty … the list goes on.

But Lindsay won’t be alone on stage — we’re told several cast members will join her in chorus.

Sources tell us, Lindsay wants to show the world she doesn’t take herself as seriously as people think — and actually has a sense of humor about the legal troubles that have plagued her the last few years.

We’re told Lindsay has also extended several personal invites to famous friends to join her on the show — and they unanimously accepted. No word yet on who the surprise guests might be.

Bottom line … Lindsay knows there’s a lot riding on tonight’s performance — so she’s determined to make it one for the ages, practicing non-stop all week long.

Gabriel Aubry wants his 3-year-old daughter Nahla to live in surroundings to which she has become accustomed … and he wants Halle to pay dearly for it.

TMZ has learned what Gabriel wants in the way of $$$ — and it’s a lot.  We’ve learned Aubry has filed legal docs asking the family law judge to force Halle to give him $15,000 – $20,000 a month for a proper home.

Gabriel has also asked for a laundry list of other things from Halle, including what we’re told is a “very large” amount of money for the little girl’s clothing, as well as money to take the child to Canada to visit his family.

We’re told Halle is fighting Gabriel tooth and nail on his request.  The hearing on the money issues was scheduled for Monday, but it’s now been put off until April 9, in part because the family law judge wants to see what the dependency judge does to Gabriel.

If the dependency judge takes away some of Gabriel’s custody rights, it would have an impact on any child support Halle would have to fork over.

Kate Beckinsale Felt “Completely Overwhelmed” Reading The Hunger Games

Like millions around the world, actress Kate Beckinsale was blown away by Suzanne Collins‘ wildly popular Hunger Games trilogy.

“My daughter [Lily]‘s school encouraged all the parents and teachers and students to read The Hunger Games, so it promoted a massive discussion of it,” Beckinsale, 38, tells Parade. “For some reason, my daughter was a little bit resistant to it at first, but then we just were all completely overwhelmed by it.”

“It was actually this summer that we were all reading it and loving it,” the Serendipity actress says. “We can’t wait for the movie. It looks fantastic.”

Justin has been on a real estate hunt in L.A. for a while … but now, sources connected to the singer tell us he’s narrowed his search down to 3 pads.

2 of the mansions are in Calabasas, CA … home of the Kardashians, a few Jackson family members and Britney Spears.

We’re told one of the estates Justin is eying has a $6 million price tag … the other’s on the market for a cool $8 mil.

The third home Biebs is interested in is in the Hollywood area — a PIMPED OUT bachelor pad currently being rented by Ashton Kutcher. We’re told that place is listed for $10 million.

Sources connected to Justin tell us … he wants to buy one place for himself and one for his mother. The two CHEAPEST would cost $14 mil.

‘Housewives’ actress says she was stunned when hit

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Nicollette Sheridan told jurors on Thursday that she was shocked and humiliated after being struck in the head by the creator of “Desperate Housewives” on the set of the hit ABC show.

The actress was the first witness called during her trial alleging that she was fired after a dispute with creator and executive producer Marc Cherry. She is seeking more than $6 million in damages.

At the request of her attorney, Patrick Maloney, the actress demonstrated the blow by striking her lawyer in court. Sheridan contended it was a hard blow, although attorneys for Cherry and ABC claimed it was a light tap meant to give the actress some direction for a scene.

Sheridan told jurors that Cherry appeared stunned after the hit and later apologized to her.

Wearing a navy blue suit and white blouse, Sheridan split the day testifying about the show’s early years and the dispute with Cherry and its aftermath.

Her character Edie Britt was killed off in the show’s fifth season, when she was earning $175,000 an episode. By then, she also had been granted a portion of the series’ profits by that point and was slated to earn $250,000 an episode if she remained on the series through the seventh season.

She testified that although Cherry had left her character’s fate in doubt at the end of seasons three and four, he never mentioned killing her off until after he hit her and was cleared by ABC executives of wrongdoing.

Cherry and ABC have denied wrongdoing and said they will present evidence that the decision to kill off Britt was made months before his argument with Sheridan and had to be approved by top executives at the network.

The scene that led to the dispute between Sheridan and Cherry was originally not meant to include the actress’ character. Her role was added after several revisions and was a short scene in which Britt needled her on-screen husband about how to write a love song.

A later script called for her to strike him with a magazine.

Maloney showed jurors various versions of the script, and played a montage of some of Sheridan’s highlights from the show, including her attempting to seduce men and washing a car with her blouse unbuttoned and bra exposed.

Some jurors laughed as the scenes were played. Many had seen the show in its early seasons.

Sheridan told the panel that she wasn’t similar to her character. “I think honesty is about the only thing we shared,” she said.

“Desperate Housewives,” a glossy prime-time comedy/soap opera with an ensemble cast including Hatcher and Longoria, made a pop-culture and ratings splash when it premiered in 2004 but has seen its audience dwindle. It is in its last season.

Cherry is expected to testify, and series stars Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman are listed as potential witnesses.

Jennifer Lopez — Laughed Off Nip Slip Drama

Jennifer Lopez  couldn’t contain her laughter when she learned about the drama surrounding her maybe/maybe not nipple moment at the Oscars last night … thisaccording to her personal stylist.

TMZ spoke with Rob Zangardi …who personally zipped J.Lo into her Oscars dress … and then helped her change into another low cut outfit after the show.

Rob tells us … he and fellow stylist Mariel Haenn personally informed Lopez about the buzz surrounding her areola during the outfit change … and J.Lo simply laughed it off.

Rob says … Lopez then assured the team she was so tightly packed into her dress, there was no possible way a nip could’ve slipped.

So what WAS the mysterious object that appeared on Jen’s chest? Rob’s convinced it was a shadow from the lighting.

Brooke Mueller Witness — I Can’t Testify Against Her … Because I Was HAMMERED

Brooke Mueller may have broken the law at the best possible time … late on a Friday night — because one of the key witnesses in her drug case tells TMZ, he was WASTED when Brooke was arrested … and won’t be able to testify against her.

A man named Keith Reineke — one of the people on the prosecutor’s list of potentialwitnesses in Brooke’s drug case — tells TMZ, he was put on the list because he was at the Aspen nightclub where Mueller was partying before her arrest.

But his testimony might be totally useless — because Keith tells us, he was “completely hammered” that night … and has very little memory of what transpired.

Keith tells us, he didn’t see Brooke with drugs nor did he see her beat anybody up — but that certainly doesn’t mean it didn’t happen … it just means the prosecution would be wasting their time putting him on the stand.

If only Brooke partied at a convent that night.

Whitney Houston — Family ‘Disgusted’ by Casket Photo

It never ends!!! Let the lady rest in peace and her family! According to TMZ.Com:

Whitney Houston‘s family had “their heart broken all over again” this week when theysaw a photo of Whitney laying in her casket published on the cover of a magazine … TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the family tell TMZ the family is disgusted the photo was printed and they have no idea how security surrounding the casket was breached. We’re told the family could tell from the photo that it was taken from inside the funeral home, but they have no idea who would have snapped the pic.

Our sources say Whitney’s mother, Cissy, has taken the publication of the photo the hardest.

Despite their disgust and outrage, we’re told the family will not investigate the matter further.

The owner of the funeral home has denied any wrongdoing on the part of her or her staff.

Seinfeld’ Star Daniel von Bargen Survives Suicide Attempt, Calls 911 — ‘I’ve Shot Myself in the Head’

Daniel von Bargen – who played Mr. Kruger in “Seinfeld” — is clinging to life in an Ohio hospital after shooting himself in the head Monday morning in a failed suicide attempt … and TMZ has the horrifying 911 tape in which he calls for help.
Daniel tells the 911 operator, “I’ve shot myself in the head … and I need help.”

The operator asks if it was an accident — Daniel replies, “I was supposed to go to the hospital and I didn’t want to.” Daniel says he’s diabetic, explaining, “They were supposed to amputate at least a few toes.”

The operator asks where the gunshot wound is — Daniel replies, “I shot in my temple.”

Law enforcement officials confirm they were dispatched to von Bargen’s Cincinnati apartment complex a short time later — and when they arrived, you can hear them on the 911 tape … yelling at Daniel to keep his hands where they could see them.

Von Bargen — who also played Chief Grady in “Super Troopers” — was transported to a nearby hospital where he is currently in critical condition.
