Stepping out to pick up a few Valentine’s Day goodies, Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted shopping at Gucci in New York City earlier today.

The soccer stud looked dapper as he chatted on his cell phone while escorted inside the swanky Big Apple store by his security personnel.

In related news, Ronaldo was Caught up in a mixup – as it was claimed that he was announcing his retirement from soccer today.

Seeming a bit too young (and good) to be hanging up his cleats, it turned out that 34-year-old Brazilian striker Ronaldo was actually the one ending his career.
