Lily Allen Wins Damages Over Fake Interview

You can’t always believe everything you read and Lily Allen can definitely attest to that.

In May 2009, a magazine called “So Foot” published an article suggesting the “Smile” singer made offensive remarks about David and Victoria Beckham, as well as Ashley and Cheryl Cole.

Come to find out, however, an interview with Allen never even took place.

With the help of her lawyer, Miss Allen got “So Foot” to admit that their article was false while they also agreed to withdraw the alleged interview and not republish it.

With Lily also being awarded damages, the mag’s lawyer, Richard Dugdale, released a statement saying, “Sincere apologies to the claimant for the damage, as well as the upset and embarrassment caused to her by the publication of the article.”
