luke Bryan a dad for the second time

Congratulations are in order for Luke Bryan. People.com tell us that Luke Bryan got his second fishing partner with the birth of son Tatum Christopher, who arrived a week earlier than planned at 9:48 a.m. Wednesday morning. He weighed in at 6 lbs., 8 oz.

“All I ever hoped for was one boy and to have two, it’s going to be fun. I’ve already got new fishing spots picked out for us,” Bryan, 34, tells PEOPLE exclusively.

The singer called from his cell phone while at a local Sonic where he was picking up a lemon berry slush for wife Caroline, 30.

“I had planned to buy her a little present today but then the baby came early, so the slushie will have to do it for now,” he explains with a laugh.

The singer’s other fishing buddy, elder son Bo, 2, hasn’t met his little brother yet.

“He was playing on the slide at the Chick-fil-A with his nanny when we called to tell him – I think he was more concerned with his chicken nuggets than the baby at the time,” Bryan says.

But he may change his tune when he meets Tatum, whom the country star says looks “pretty much like a carbon copy of Bo.”

Drama on the View Whoopi vs. Michaele Salahi

More drama on the View. People.com tell us that

It started out like a typical episode of The View on Wednesday: co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Joy Behar ribbed their guests with tough — but playful — questions. But backstage after the show, a major drama played out.

When Michaele Salahi and her Real Housewives of D.C. castmates — Mary Schmidt Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Catherine Ommanney and Stacie Scott Turner — appeared on the ABC talk show, the newly-minted reality star was rattled after she said Whoopi Goldberg, who was offstage for the segment, walked on the set, touched her arm and tried to refocus her on the topic at hand: her alleged crashing of the White House state dinner last November.

Though the encounter occupied no more than several seconds of airtime, offstage, an ugly scene reportedly happened when Salahi and her husband Tareq complained to producers about what she tells PEOPLE was a “humiliating and torturous” experience at the hands of Goldberg — and her View co-hosts.

“The first encounter I had with this woman is her grabbing my arm and telling me to change the subject,” Salahi tells PEOPLE in a phone interview Thursday. “It was very inappropriate … They want to torture me. I didn’t know [being interviewed on the View] would be this horrific.”

During that interview segment, Salahi also exchanged heated words with her Housewives costar Erkiletian, who alleged that Tareq threw a glass of red wine on her at a recent press event in Los Angeles. (Salahi fired back that Erkiletian lobbed a glass of Scotch back in her husband’s face.) The interview was testy, and afterward Salahi said, “When I got off stage I was fine, but then I began to cry. Whoopi came in and said ‘Did you [expletive] say that I hit you?’ “

According to a statement on ABC’s Web site, Salahi told producers that Goldberg “hit” her. Salahi tells PEOPLE she used the word “grab.”

Goldberg doesn’t deny the backstage confrontation happened but denies she hit Salahi. “You know how I [denied it],” she said, “choice words. And I make no apology for my choice words.”

But the situation escalated after Salahi’s husband Tareq intervened.

“Tareq, my husband, said you need to apologize to my wife,” Salahi tells PEOPLE. “Whoopi doesn’t like to be told what to do. He said, ‘We’re just guests and this is an inappropriate way to treat guests.’ “

But Goldberg says Tareq “got in [her] face, had his BlackBerry out and started taking pictures of me. And needless to say, I really went off on him. And there was even more choice words. It was so choice, you could have cut it with a knife and eaten them.”

At this point, Salahi says, “I was really sobbing. I just wanted to get out of there.”

While Goldberg had no more to say about the matter Thursday, and co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck read a statement on air from Salahi’s attorney reiterating that no charges were levied after the alleged White House crashing incident, Salahi says she doesn’t understand where all the purported hostility came from on the set of The View.

“Whoopi, I don’t know you. I never saw Sister Act,” she says. “I don’t know much about her. The fact that I have had no encounters with her except this hostility, I don’t know where it’s coming from. It’s just another really painful learning lesson.” I personally dont think whoopi would hit anybody and this has turned into more drama than it should have.

John Goodman has lost more than 100 lbs

Being healthy is the way to be and many actor’s and actresses are taking charge. For instance people.com tell us that John Goodman is no longer a couch potato.

“I know it sounds sappy, but it was a waste,” the 58-year-old actor told  PEOPLE. “It takes a lot of creative energy to sit on your ass and figure out what you’re going to eat next … I wanted to live life better.”

Mission accomplished: The Treme actor has lost more than 100 lbs. thanks to his healthy new lifestyle. He quit drinking three years ago and hired Mackie Shilstone – a health coach who has trained many athletes including tennis player Serena Williams. Now Goodman has cut sugar from his diet and works out six days a week. “I’m breaking a sweat but I’m not going nuts,” he says.

He is excited about the results though, says Shilstone. “He remembers what it feels like to be extremely heavy and it’s something he doesn’t want again.”

Now, says Shilstone, “John is very agile. When I see him running I get out of the way! He can be a different type of actor now. He can take on athletic parts.”

Before Goodman becomes an action hero, though, he needs to focus on getting a new wardrobe. “I just ordered some nice slacks,” he says. “I finally got them and they’re too big now.” I need to start doing something too.

Sarh Rue looks awesome after losing 50 pounds

I was shocked to see how good Sarah Rue looked after losing 50 pounds and obviously people.com were shocked too. People.com tells us that If you see Sara Rue on the street, chances are she’ll be smiling. That’s because the actress has lost 50 pounds since signing on as a spokesperson for Jenny Craig last December. “I have such a better relationship with food than I’ve ever had in my life,” Rue, 31, told PEOPLE. “I’ve learned how to control portions, I’ve learned how to eat healthfully.” Best of all, she is enjoying exercise for the first time in her life. Rue, who used to just walk the dogs around the block, now regularly logs 45-60 minutes of cardio 5-6 days a week on the treadmill and is in training for her first half marathon. But her eight-month journey was not without its fair share of obstacles. “I spent the first few months of this program wearing my pedometer and getting in my 10,000 steps every day,” Rue says. “When I started running I would run for one minute and walk for ten.

Now I can run for two-and-a-half hours straight. That’s insane! I never would have thought six months ago that I would be able to run that much.” Nor did she think she’d be enjoying another activity—shopping. “Barely squeezing into a size 14 when she embarked upon her weight loss journey, the 5’8” Rue is now a lean “size 6.” Busy planning a Spring 2011 wedding with her fiancé, teacher Kevin Price, Rue recently popped into Vera Wang in Beverly Hills to check out a 70 percent off sale. “I wandered to the back of the store where all the bride gowns were. The woman zipped it up and she had to clamp it in the back because it was too big,” Rue says, laughing. “It was just a great feeling.”
