Landon Donovan clears up the rumors

Landon Donovan finally speaks on the matter. People.com tells us that During the World Cup, U.S. soccer star Landon Donovan said he was “informed of the possibility” that a British woman was pregnant with his child.

Now, he knows the truth.

“I will not be a dad any time soon, which is good news for me,” Donovan told E! Online at the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Donovan, 28, who is separated from his wife, actress Bianca Kajlich, initially did not deny a U.K. report that a woman was carrying his baby. He said that if it were true, “I will provide the appropriate support.”

Donovan has spent most of his pro career in the U.S., but played on loan for Liverpool club Everton for several months last winter
